April 2012 Juniata College anagama part 8

We are unloading tomorrow afternoon. The temperature in the front reached a little over 2250 degrees F and as far as we can tell the back hit 2200. Things look melty and shiny. Chaos reigns supreme... which seems to be the way things go :) I feel pretty good about the event thus far. The kiln is a dream. (1974-2012 and counting) There will be more pictures.

We fire on Easter Sunday.

Apologies for the lack of content. It is my intention that after next week i need to sit down and do a huge amount of clerical stuff and pot picture taking. In the mean time we have been loading the Juniata College anagama this week. The firing will start Sunday night at around 9pm and then go for 190ish hours. We have been documenting steadily.

I went to this big moving ceramic conference in Seattle Washington last week, Enseeka (N.C.E.C.A). Now I am left with a feeling of reassured-ness yet filled with more questions than I know what to do with. Check my newish tumblr for images of randomness from that via my cell phone.

Things are happening that's all that matters.

life is what you make.
